AMAZON PURCHASES #1 - ARAMEX & NINJA VAN DELIVERY

My second package from Amazon which consisted of 3 items was being delivered by Aramex. I had read many reviews of this company and to my shock, 9 out of 10 reviews were all negative ones. Seeing them as the delivery company for my package didn't give me much hope after reading those reviews. In addition, the experience with UPS also made me feel less hopeful as I did consider UPS to have a better standard. So, if a company that I expected to do well didn't, then it really didn't give me much hope about a company that has so many bad reviews.

Nevertheless, I constantly checked on the progress of my delivery. I managed to get through to Aramex on 14th Dec, to inform them of my availability for collection of the delivery. Again, it was to deliver between 7pm to 10pm. The officer noted down my request and that was it. I had to play the waiting game. Again.

On the 15th, I had a call from an unknown number and when I answered it, there was this guy who said that they're from the company Ninja Van and they're outside my house to deliver the package from Amazon. I told them nobody will be home to collect it and they have to come again after 7pm. The guy said okay. I then realised that Aramex had outsourced the delivery and passed it to Ninja Van. I've only heard the name 'ninja van' while I was in the army and it refers to a snack van which will drive to the shooting range.

The guy from Ninja Van called again and asked whether he could leave the package with my neighbour. I initially said 'no' as I didn't want to trouble my neighbour, but the delivery guy said that my neighbour doesn't mind keeping it for me. So that was it. My final package was delivered. Well sort of.

I must say that I was rather pleased that the delivery guy actually went an extra mile to ask my neighbour whether she can keep the package until I return from work. (Well obviously he didn't want to make another trip to my house again, but I felt he was helpful).

Hence, I returned home and got my package from my neighbour. Everything was intact and nothing was damaged. Not even a scratch. Thank you to Aramex for outsourcing the delivery and thank you to Ninja Van for delivering promptly!

The items that I purchased are listed at the bottom of my previous blog post:
