AMAZON PURCHASES #2 - VPOST DELIVERY

I recently made some purchases from Amazon during the holiday season and the experience was rather both positive and negative. You can read about those experiences via the following links:

Now you must take note that I had ordered enough items from Amazon to qualify for the free delivery to Singapore. The amount was USD 125. So, in a way, I shouldn't be too upset but the experience with UPS was really frustrating.

Anyway, I decided to then find another way of getting my items delivered to me and that is when I found out about vPost. This is a service provided by SingPost.

You can view the details via this link: https://www.vpost.com.sg

There was Borderlinx that I also looked at but I decided to use vPost first for a few items that I purchased from Amazon.

The best thing about using vPost is the option to use their POPStation service. This is basically a service where you can opt to let vPost drop off your items at the POPStation that you choose when making payment. Conveniently there is POPStation near my place and I opted to have the items delivered there. I was able to go collect them at my own convenience instead of having to arrange for deliveries with other service providers. Do note that the package that is being delivered to you must fit a certain dimension in order for it to fit in the POPStation lockers. Once your package is delivered to the POPStation of your choice, you will be notified and a pin number will be given to you. Once you're at the locker assigned to you, you'll just need to key in the pin number and collect your package. It is that easy!

You can check out the POPStation website via this link: https://www.mypopstation.com

This experience was a billion times better than the one I had with UPS. I'm very sure I'll be using the services of vPost for awhile until and unless service standards drop.
